The 2019 UCLA Theme Group Exhibition: Circadian Regions is an exhibition curated by Art Department graduate students that brings together fellow M.F.A. candidates from the Southern California region for a show that addresses contemporary intimacies. The curators Sydney Acosta, Cherisse Gray, and Sam Richardson have curated a material, historical, and conceptual dialog between 17 artists that aims to discuss notions of identity in relationship to alterity, geopolitical violence, the pressure-to-perfom, personal history, and namely the undisclosed interior.
