The Sculpture Area is composed of three main facilities: a wood shop, a metal shop and welding area, and a plaster/mold-making room. Sculpture's indoor work space is integrated with a multi-use all weather outdoor sculpture yard.
Woodshop Equipment

The woodshop is equipped with a 14 in. Powermatic Cabinet Table Saw, 20 in. Bandsaw, Two 14 in. Bandsaws, Radial Arm Saw, Compound-Mitre Sawbuck, Chopsaws, Router Table, Sabre Saw, Combination Belt/Disc Sander, Oscillating Spindle Sander, 2 Drill Presses and a 42 in. Roundtower Milling Machine. Most equipment is connected to an extensive dust collection system.
A wide range of pnuematic, power, and hand tools are available for student use in the Sculpture Area, and can be checked out on a limited basis.
Metalshop Equipment

Welding equipment includes 2 Arc Welders, 2 MIG Welders, 2 Spot Welders, Oxy-Acetyline Rigs, Plasma Cutter and a Portable Welder Generator. The welding area is served by a state-of-the-art Adjustable Dual-Arm Smoke Collector.
The Metalshop also includes a 40 ton Hydraulic Shear/Punch, Brobo 325 Circular Sawing Machine, 6 foot brake, 4 foot box brake, 42 in. 16 gauge metal shear, and a Rotex Turret-type Punch.
Plaster/Moldmaking Room

The Plaster/Moldmaking room is a flexible space for plaster, latex and other moldmaking. The room provides students access to four slopsinks and a full bathroom with a shower.
Sculpture Yard

The all-weather Sculpture Yard is partially covered by a 25 foot high, 3,000 square foot steel roof. The yard is well lit for evening use. Portable equipment includes 10 ft. and 20 ft. Gantry Cranes, 12 ft. and 14 ft. Scaffolding Systems, an 800 lb. capacity Engine Hoist and a 4200 lb. capacity propane-powered Forklift.
