May 2009: Bia Gayotto, MFA '96 was awarded a 2009 City of Los Angeles (C.O.L.A.) Individual Artist Fellowship. An exhibition by award recipients took place at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery at Barnsdall Park, May 14-July 12, 2009.

Jacob Yanes, MFA '08 was awarded a 2009-2010 Visual Arts Fellowship at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, MA.

April 2009: Brian Dick, BA '91 received the San Diego Art Prize and his work was featured in Discombobulated at the L-Street Fine Art Gallery at the Omni Hotel in San Diego, April 25-July 20, 2009.

Since graduating from UCLA, she has shown work in solo and group exhibitions at galleries in the USA, Europe, Australia, and Africa.

Jack Gould's BA '92 project, People and Things: A Photographic Meditation and Exploration, has been touring LA County since Feb 2008, where it launched at the Dortort Center for Creativity in the Arts at UCLA HIllel. It was at the El Segundo Main Library through Jan 30, 2009.

Sept 2008: David Thorne, MFA '04 with Julia Meltzer for the Speculative Archive, were among five artists and artists groups selected for the 4th International Nam June Paik Award donated by the Kunststiftung NRW (Arts Foundation North-Rhine Westphalia), Düsseldorf. The works selected for the award were exhibited in the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum & Fondation Corboud in Cologne, Germany, Sept 26-Nov 16, 2008.

Dec 2008: Alejandro Acosta, BA '89 was admitted to the Single Subject Credential Program at CSULB and plans to teach Social Studies at the high school level.

Roberto Delgado, MFA '76 was awarded a commission for the public art in three stations at the Minneapolis to St. Paul Central Corridor Light Rail Transit Project. He is currently finishing a public art project for the City of Los Angeles Valley Blvd viaduct in El Sereno. His public artwork in LA can be seen at the East Los Angeles Civic Center, the LAMTA Gold Line Heritage Square Station, and the LAPD North Valley Area Police Station.

Kristin Reiber Harris, BA '68 is teaching in the Art Department at Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, VA. She has a design/animation business and is back in the studio working on a series of large botanical drawings.

Karen Wight, MA '72 is living in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico where she creates her work celebrating the movement of the human form in contemporary bronze and resin sculpture, painting, and fine jewelry. She exhibits and is collected internationally.
